OOTD | For an Interview + Announcement

Hello, Everyone!

So, as you may know I left my job of a year and a half on October 15th because I was just sick of it and wanted change.

About a week later I started freaking out because I've had a steady and reliable income for all of these months and now I'm just kind of floating...

Until Friday.
I got a job interview, dressed up real nice, showed up to the place, heard what they had to say, and ended up declining their offer and returning home.

In that moment I remembered how I felt in my old job and I imagined what my attitude would be if I worked there, and I came to the conclusion that accepting that job offer would have been like throwing away all of my personal pep-talks and my desire to want MORE in life.

I got home touched up my make up and shot an OOTD because when in doubt... Blog.

This outfit is very versatile- I chose to wear it to an interview because I didn't want to look like everyone else with the standard black pants and white top so I mixed up my choices a little bit and decided to trust Fat Amy: Business at the top, party at the bottom.

I love this outfit because you can wear it day or night, accessorize it up or down, and you can change it up with vibrant colors or keep it muted with black and white.

This was created with a business purpose in mind, but after the interview had finished I didn't want to change out of it because it made me feel really empowered and that is what we want after all, right?

I hope this post helps you all on your business days, regular days, or fun nights out!

I know I don't usually post on Saturdays but I only posted once last week and I didn't want to wait until Monday to show this outfit to you!

Regular posing schedule will be back Next Week- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

My Go-To Fall Outfit | Day & Night

Hello, Everyone! Today was the absolute perfect day for this outfit so I am SO happy that I trusted my instincts and waited until today to shoot these pictures, (well my mom did) - Thank You, Mom.

Unfortunately I was running a little behind schedule and I didn't want to take these pictures right in the middle of the afternoon so I scrambled out of the house with my camera in hand and when I got to the location MY MEMORY CARD WAS MISSING. I had to shoot these on my iPhone, and although they're not up to par with the vision I had in mind I hope that the quality is still good enough to inspire your outfits, because after all that's the point of these :)

So This little black dress was an amazing steal I grabbed onto at Marshall's for $12 and if you go now, you'll probably still be able to find one similar to it. My shoes are from YEARS ago but I take really good care of them and they have proved true to me season after season.

My Coach bag was a present, but I believe it is from the 2013 Fall Collection, It is completely leather so it's more on the pricier side but if you're on the hunt for a medium sized satchel that is durable I would recommend this one or one similar to it. Coach is pretty consistent on their equestrian style designs during Fall which I am amazed with.

Okay so here's the fun part ladies, If you're anything like me and you're pretty caught up with time but don't want to be seen wearing basically the same thing, something that I do ALL the time is switch up my accessories or maybe even add some.

With this look I decided to switch up my shoes to the cute little booties that I showed you all a few posts back, and I added this faux leather jacket that I got at Sears a year ago for $8 ! Yes, I said $8!

So hopefully this gives you a little bit of style inspo and if you're wondering, I'm wearing the My basic MK watch, and My flowery gold bracelet from Charming Charlie.

I hope you all have an amazing, crazy, and safe weekend!

I'll Wear Black on Everything

Black is the shade that my closet cannot take enough of, no matter the season black will always be incorporated in my outfit because it just works; it makes me look older, professional, and mature. I may not be all of those things but I'll fake it 'till I make it.

Being a shopaholic is so much more than having an impulse to buy, it's having your mind wander in a million different directions wanting to own the next best thing and quite frankly I think last week I might have bought my favorite Item of the season.

I am currently really loving Danielle Peazer's style (You can check her out on Instagram @dcp1006 or for more detailed posts on her outfits you can visit her blog Idlelane.) I'm actually just captivated by her ability to wear dark colors with such ease, and after shamelessly scrolling up and down through her posts I realized that it's not her entire outfit that is dark, it's just select pieces that she styles to make her outfits come off that way.

So, while I was out shopping last week I made it a point to shop for select pieces that would compliment my outfit instead of overwhelming it.

And I finally found precisely what I had been searching for.

The black Nine West mini back pack just SCREAMS London to me and I feel it would look gorgeous with just about anything but especially well with a fancy jumper and a chunky necklace giving off a chic, school girl vibe.
I've been wearing it just about everywhere and I love the way it stands out from a crowd.

Also from my complimentary pieces was a new pair of heeled booties which I saw and didn't even feel guilty after purchasing because they are the perfect height and the perfect length above my ankle. These will go amazing with tight skinny jeans, rolled up pants, or faux leather shorts paired with some tights.

These seasons (If you haven't been able to tell) make me extremely excited. You can wear as much black as you want, dress as heavily as you want, and still manage to wear dark makeup without looking like a total crazy person. It's wonderful.

I'll be posting many OOTD'S this season hopefully incorporating these babies within them.

What are your favorite Fall/Winter Items?

Casual Summer Day | OOTD #1

This is just and easy summer outfit that can be interchangeable with different pieces, and easily brought from a day to night look. The shirt itself is very versatile, if paired like shown above it s ideal to be worn on a hot day out where errands need to be made but you still don't want to look like you're careless. Equally as easy, this shirt can be paired with black shorts and some strappy sandals and worn out to dinner which is why I love it so much especially during Florida's summer heat.
These High waisted shorts are my everything during summer; I took them on my cruise and wore them both days; they are SO comfortable, it had taken me a good while to finally invest in a pair but I'm really glad I did.
