"Little Girls With Dreams Become Women With Vision" -My Dream/Vision Board

Hello, Everyone!
It feel like I long time has gone by since I've actually done a lifestyle post that I'm 100% in love with. The reason being that Lifestyle posts are generally the ones in which my true creative senses come out, and I love seeing the finished product play out to be precisely the way I envisioned it in my head.
That being said, I literally dedicated all morning into creating the perfect Dream/Vision board for myself.

I decided to hand write and place everything because I am an extremely visual person and I captivate ideas easier if I do it that way. The board in which I placed everything on was purchased from HomeGoods for about $15.

At the top of my Board I have Proverbs 3:5,6 which states that your should trust in God instead of relying on your own understanding and he will surely make your paths straight.
Right below that I have my subscriber Goals for Youtube, and "No Debt" reminding me to save more and spend less,
A jet setter sticker right next to the places that I want to travel to within the year 2015.

Next to that I wrote down five quotes that are guaranteed to make me feel better on a horrible day.

Below that I have some tips on how to be a successful Blogger that I cut out from a TeenVogue magazine as well as two cutouts. The first saying: "Haters Gonna Hate" because for every 1 person that supports me on this journey there are atleast 10 that dont.
And the Second saying: "I'm not going to be a prisoner in my room" referring to a life of ordinance that most people tend to live when in reality they should be going out there and searching for the next best thing. So, I strategically put a sticker below it that says, "Going Places"

And finally, next to that I have a list of Goals that I wish to accomplish, another list of things that I would like to buy, and a reminder of the three things that I would like to professionally categorize myself under.

I hope this post was useful to you in someway and that you got to gain some inspiration for your 2015!

Colour Pop Cosmetics Haul | NEW Matte Shades! | Elizabeth Martinez

Hello, You beautiful Souls!

Sorry for the delay but I really wanted to wait until I got these to make a post about something I was REALLLYYYY excited about!
So here it is.
Colourpop Cosmetics, a Makeup brand based in LA whose products only cost FIVE DOLLARS. Recently came out with a new line of Matte Shadows. Up until last month The only shadows they carried were shimmers and metallics.
So naturally, when I heard that they were launching mattes I could barely control myself... one thing led to another and before I knew it I got an e-mailed receipt confirming my order.
This order would have come out to be $35 but when you sign up for their newsletter they send you an e-coupon for $5 off! So really it was like getting one for free so whatever you do, don't forget to sign up!!

I got a little scared when I opened the box because it looked like all of the shades were similar but thankfully when swatched they are COMPLETELY different. You'll see.

The formulation is out of this world and trust me your mind will be blown when you first touch them. These are the creamiest matte shadows I have ever played with. Yes, I said Creamy. AND, once the shadows set on your skin they literally don't move!

I have been sweeping my finger up and down the arm where all the swatches are (rather harshly) to see if the colors will budge, but I promise you that they have not.

I'll post a video tomorrow to actually show you but I have to say, I am really impressed.
Dare I say... but, I like these more than Urban Decay. Okay there I said it.

Here are individual pictures!
and Swatches!

Just wanted to mention really quick that I know that the fist swatch does not look very prominent but trust me, I tried to make it as noticeable as possible! You will never understand how much time and effort goes into shooting, and editing everything. So therefor, I apologize. Hope it doesn't stray you away from trying this AMAZING brand. I love supporting American Brands!

Lippie Swatches (MAC + BITE + Makeup Forever)

The week of Black Friday was a week of craze for me as I imagine it was for you, also. Needless to say though, that I could not possibly be happier with my purchases. Specifically my new Lippies.

I as always purchased new lip sticks while I was away in the Bahamas because 'Tax Free' means 'Go crazy'.
From Left to Right: Velvet Teddy, Russian Red, Exclusive Event, Styled in Sepia
From Top to Bottom: Styled in Sepia, Exclusive Event, Russian Red, and Velvet Teddy

Velvet Teddy and Russian Red are two colors that I have been lusting after for so long now, and Styled in Sepia was one of those impulse buys that you never counted on but still mean the world to you.
Exclusive Event was a gift from a dear friend who knows me like the back of her hand.

Next up was a lip duo that I got from Sephora from Makeup Forever called "Get Glossy"

Pink Shade is D14 and Nude Shade is D16
These are both super glossy and shiny hints the name of the set, and if applied them over matte lipsticks and the effect it has on them is GORGEOUS.

Finally I roamed into the land of Bite Beauty when I saw that they had a mini trio set at part of their Black Friday deals and they are so so so so beautiful!

From Top to Bottom: Rambutan, Strawberry, Currant

I used Rambutan in a recent Youtube video where I recreated Kim Kardashian's makeup look and it looks absolutely stunning if you guys want to check that out here is the video:

Hope You guys enjoyed these swatches let me know if any of these tickle your fancy!

Review: One Direction Limited Edition Makeup Kits + Giveaway!

Hello, Beauties!

The lovely people at BrandBacker and Markwins International sent over some samples for me to Review and I have finally played around with these long enough to be able to deliver an honest review.

One Direction recently expanded into the cosmetics industry with a series of kits and added to the mix were these three shown below which happen to be limited Edition for the season.

Sold at Just $16.50 (each) These kits can be found at Macys, Dillards, Boscov's, Stage Stores, Beauty Brands, and Lord & Taylor as of November 15th!

The Kits Included are:
-Rock Me Nail Kit (3 Nail Varnishes and 3 UV Reactive Glitters)
-Electro Glam Mascara (Blue, Pink, & Yellow)
-LiquidLights Glow Gloss (3 Super Glittery Glosses, UV Reactive: Orange, Pink, light Red)

I absolutely adore the concept behind these Mascaras! Yes, the retro lashes are coming back in style but I loved using these as temporary highlights in my hair. My sisters and friends made a night out of it, by glamming up our hair to our colors of choice. In case you were wondering these look AMAZING even on dark hair, and wash out without any hassle at all!

The Glosses are EXTREMELY glittery which is fine for party season, but if you're like me and prefer mattes, you can still make these work.
Here's My tip:
-Apply a matte color of your choice as the base
-Add a coat of either one of the glosses
-Dab on some Translucent powder to minimize the glitter without taking it off, completely

At first the two pink-Red colors look virtually identical but applied on the lips they are clearly distinguishes.

The coolest part about these is that they glow in the dark, so don't forget to put one in your purse if you know you'll be running into some UV lights!

The Swatches of the nail varnishes shown above all demonstrate what the colors appear to be after 2 coats. Unfortunately, the most exciting color (Blue) was the hardest to work with as it appeared to be streaky, But after a few minutes it dried nicely.

The Pink applied like a dream as well as the Glitter which is surprisingly thicker than I originally thought.

If you're looking for the perfect gift for a fan girl, this is it. Although I do think that this was designed with a younger crowd in mind, I still enjoyed using the Mascara with my girls, the nail varnishes I will most definitely use, and the glosses as I stated earlier, can still be worked with even with the glitter issue.

One Direction and the Markwins team are also having a very generous giveaway so, if you fancy these kits here's your chance to win one for free!

CoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous Review + GRWM & pics from #1DOrlando

Hey, Guys! So on My Youtube Channel today, I posted a Get Ready With Me Video where I just prepped myself with minimal Makeup for a pretty chill day as well as a First Impressions on the CoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation.
So Tonight, I'm just going to finish off by telling you all how the Foundation held up and what my final thoughts are.

So, When I first applied it, it felt very light weight and it was pretty light coverage but definitely built up to medium coverage when I applied a second layer and that manages to cover up my blemishes flawlessly without making them look cakey or clinging to my dry spots.

My skin is combination, leaning more towards Dry but I do have an Oily T-zone and I was very surprised to find that such a light foundation didn't make me look oily at all.

This color blended in seamlessly into my skin, and if you're interested in this foundation I'm pretty sure You'll find a shade because they do have a pretty good selection.

I applied the Foundation around 2:30 and it is now around 10:30 so it's been a good eight hours and it still doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything but I am noticing some oil starting to peek through the surface. (Do Keep in Mind that I didn't apply any setting powder)

All in all I am very impressed with this foundation and I look forward to using it in the future. You can't go wrong with the price, it ranges from $7-8 which is incredible!

Here is the Video :)

-------------------

I also wanted to include some Pics from my Weekend at Universal Orlando for One Direction's Album Release I talked about it more in depth in the video but basically it was tragic to say the least but it all paid off when I saw their beautiful faces and heard their angelic voices.

(Yes, I saw Josh Devine and it was a very beautiful moment in my life)

Nail and Lip Combo for Every Woman | Elizabeth Martinez

Hello, Beauties!
-Trying to find the shade that best suits us can sometimes be a challenge therefor while pondering on the idea of which shade best suits ME I came to the conclusion that there is typically three types of women.

1) The " I'm all about the Business" woman
2) The Rebel
and
3) The Plain Jane

No, you don't have to be just one.
In fact, I think that I personally dive into each of these categories every once in a while.

To put it in perspective:
1) The "I'm all about that Business" woman doesn't want to be too overdone so she'll settle for a berry toned products on her lips and cheeks while utilizing pales and pastels on her nails. This says, "I have very important papers to sign on an everyday basis so my nails need to be easy to keep up with."

2) The Rebel is the woman every girl wishes to be. She wears dark lips and dark nails year round. No explanations. She does what she wants and she's not afraid to show her wild side.

3) Plain Jane. She would want her intro to be just like that. Don't think she's boring, she knows exactly what shes doing. By matching her lips precisely to the color of her nude nails, good ol' Plain Jane is telling the world that shes preparing to conquer it. One sleek move at a time.

 Nails Top to Bottom:

Fixer-Uppers

We've all had those moments where we feel like one little thing is going to ruin our entire day and at times it can get a little overwhelming. Yes, I understand that there are real problems out there in the world but what about us?
What about the moments when every aspect of our make up is so flawless that we're almost positive we'll get 100+ likes on Instagram, but right before we show our excitement we notice that our lips look like they haven't felt water since last year?
Or when we have a really important event that we need to get to, which we've been preparing for all week but then suddenly the night before, we can feel a crater forming on our foreheads?

This is life, and this stuff happens which is why it's important to try out different products and find the ones that work for YOU!

Once You've found your life saving, 'Fixer-Uppers' as I like to call them, Your life will be so much more simple! In other words, You won't be panicking, searching for home remedies on Youtube.

Products that help me and I believe might help you also are Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline), Sleep Pillow Mist by Bath and Body Works, Advantage Daily Soothing Acne Wash by Clean and Clear, and Nail Envy by OPI.

Petroleum Jelly is awesome for many reasons but all have one thing in common: Moisturizing. My primary uses for this product is to take away chapped lips and heal excessively dry legs especially during the cooler months. Apply this twice daily to your lips and in just one day your lips will look and feel very different.

Sleep Spray is my secret weapon for the nights when my head hits the pillow and I just know it's not going to be easy to get me to fall asleep. I spray a few times on all of my pillows and my sheets and in a few minutes I feel relaxed and comforted. Not sure what the science is behind it, but it works.

The Acne Wash by Clean and Clear was an accidental discovery. I purchased it for someone else but ran out of my own face wash before I could give it to them and it truly amazed me. I don't even use this as an actual face wash, it's more of an 'On the spot' treatment. If I have sudden breakouts caused by hormones or stress, I will apply this evenly all over my face and go to sleep with it. The next morning almost all of my blemishes would have disappeared.

And lastly, there is nothing uglier than uneven nails, so Nail Envy by OPI has allowed me to have strong and beautiful nails, without the fear of having one break off.

I hope these tips helped you!

Also, Yesterday I posted a new Youtube Video so if you want to check it out here you go:

I hope you all have an amazing day/night!

Freshen Up, Ladies

Let's face it; being in School totally sucks.

Whether it's Middle School, High School, or college I'm pretty sure that we can all relate on the common understanding that school is and will always be a drag.

When looking back on my High School years I'm obviously frustrated at the thought of all of the homework assignments and projects I was forced to do but all of those seem kind of unimportant when I remember all of the friends I made along the way due to our similarities in procrastination and gossip.

But, there is ONE thought that continues to make me furious time, and time again.

For 2 1/2 years I was forced to participate in a gym class which led to my body producing more sweat than I ever imagined would be possible and THEN they would only give us 5 minutes to get dressed back into regular clothes and get into our next class. Yes, you read that correctly. Five minutes. No joke.

How did I do it you ask?

I would run to the locker room, fight for a bathroom stall and use the products Shown in the picture above.
Summer's Eve Cleansing Cloths became my best friends in School, I mean lets be honest- when you're running outside and your thighs are touching, you get really sweaty and you need something to freshen you up. right? These are perfect for that. Not as good as an actual shower, but good enough to get you through the rest of the day without feeling like a hot mess.

Hand sanitizer was my saving grace and the ones from Bath and Body Works are my favorite! They smell so good and whenever I felt a little stinky I would just use some to make myself feel better.

Even Better than Hand Sanitizer, was this CLEAN fragrance. If you've never smelled any of the perfumes from this line, I suggest you go by your local Sephora and take a sniff.
These smell like cotton, laundry, the beach, sandalwood, etc. And they ALWAYS made me feel... Clean. lol

I know the struggle is real when you're in school so hopefully these little suggestions will help you some :)

Obviously, these aren't only useful when you're in school because I continuously utilize them on a regular day basis. As women, we love looking and feeling good, and sometimes the tiniest thing can make a difference. I can't tell you how may times I've rummaged through my things looking for ANYTHING with any amount of scent because I've felt icky. So I finally learned to pack these up and keep them with me at all times :)

My next post is going to be on Wednesday, and my next video is going up tomorrow, but if you missed my last video here is the link: Fall & Winter Haul 2014

I'll speak to you soon xxx

Sephora Luster Matte Long Wearing Lip Colors | Review & Swatches

Ever wanted a gloss that turns matte, doesn't come off on your drinking glass and stays on perfectly for 5+ hours? So have I, and for $16 a piece you can find them at Sephora!

Ever since discovering these Glosses I try to buy one every time I go to Sephora (which isn't often) because these are the true definition of what staples in your collection should be.

The pigmentation is out of this world, and surprisingly these do not dry out my lips whatsoever. Of course, because they dry to be matte I would recommend using a lip liner to really get a precise line but if you use lighter colors like "Fig" then you could really get away without it.

These are perfect for the girls who leave the house with so much to do that the last thing they want to do is worry about how their color looks.

As much as I love Ruby Woo, and although it will always be my favorite it's really nice to know that I can apply a similar color like "Scarlet" and not have it patch up on my lips a few hours later.

The colors I've purchased so far are:
1) Deep Plum
2) Scarlet
3)Fig

Next time you go into Sephora make sure you swatch one of these! The reason I fell in love with them was because the color payoff was remarkable and it took a few hand washes to get it completely off!
I hope this review was helpful xxx

What's In My Bag | School Days

Hello, Everyone! Is it just me or do you also find yourself interested in what other people consider to be their "Must have" items in their bags/purses?

I for one, feel extremely impressed with people who can leave the house with just their keys and their wallet while I have to leave with a little bit of everything.

As you can see above I carry ALOT of stuff! But please keep in mind that I am a full time college student who wakes up at 7:30 am, does her makeup in the car, gets really hungry during the day, and uses up her battery within the first two hours.
Plus, I need keys,
a planner so I don't miss anything,
a headband because I'm a Floridian with frizzy hair and sometimes the fly aways are too much,
a wallet because I might need to buy something,
and My iPad because it comes in handy when my professor is going through the lecture really fast and I didn't get to jot down everything I wanted.
Pretty much the most basic school bag ever, but It's also extremely Truthful!

What are some things you can't live without in your bag?

Fall Favorites | Beauty | Accesories

Fall/Autumn, is and will always be my favorite time of year. Whenever It comes around I become overly excited with the colors, themes, and coziness that it gives off and year after year I find that this is always the particular moment where I take time to analyze who I am and where I want to be.
Although I struggle with creating "Favorites Posts" on a regular basis due to my semi-large collection of things and my insistence on routinely changing the products I use in order for them all to get their fair share- I don't however struggle with creating a solid post in the Fall. I just LOVE everything about bold, dramatic artistry and what better way to exhibit your passion than on your face, right?

I am currently obsessed with the Taylor Swift "Wonderstruck Enchanted" scent because it's soft and girly. Since the air tends to become thicker in the cooler months I try to stay away from strong, Musky scents knowing that I'll be around other people. I've had this little charm for around two weeks now and I wear it everyday, many people have complimented me since then which certifies that I made a wise purchase :)

I just need to say that after purchasing this foundation I don't think that I will ever stop repurchasing. This has changed my entire life and I am so thankful that I FINNALY splurged. This is the Yves Saint Laurent Le Taint Touché Éclat foundation which retails for $57. Yes the price is a downside but this water based foundation is phenomenal for people who have drier skin. One pump will get you a light coverage with a dewy finish, and two pumps will get you medium coverage, with your imperfections blurred, and a beautiful dewy finish that does not make your face look oily whatsoever. If you do have oily skin this foundation might be a bit too dewy for you and will accentuate your oily spots rather than illuminate your face.

During Fall and Winter my house will smell like some sort of man; although I don't like having musky scents on me whilst I'm around other people I do appreciate a good man scented room when I walk in. Black Tie and Mahogany Teakwood are my two all time favorite scents that I hoard until fall and Winter arrive. Today I'm only showing you Black Tie because It's the one I burn the most during fall, and as you can see I'm down to my medium sized candles and I only have one of these left before I completely run out (I'm hoping that the winter scents come out soon so I can stock up again).

I usually go for gold jewelry year-round but during Fall especially I feel it REALLY makes a statement on absolutely everyone. My go-to gold pieces at the moment consist of my two tone Michael Kors watch in Gold and Silver with the jewel detailing on the edge, and a little dainty flower bracelet that I think stack perfectly together, although I do change the bracelet every now and then. This is a perfect duo that accompanies any outfit perfectly whether I'm going to class in the morning or to a nice Restaurant at night.

As stated previously I am utterly obsessed with bold makeup for fall, I think that a strong contour, some cat eyes and most importantly a dark lip are must haves and my favorite lip shade right now has been this MAC matte lipstick called 'Diva' which I believe is a holy grail for the majority of the members on the internet-Beauty community. Unlike Ruby Woo, this Matte color is not overly drying and has a really good lasting power which is impressive because most dark lipsticks just tend to go everywhere rather than stay on the actual place they're intended to be on- your lips.

I am totally guilty of purchasing shadows and then neglecting them but this is the Urban Decay Vegan palette that I purchased when I first started blogging around two years ago and it is still one of my favorites. For some reason I never use a brush when I utilize this palette because the colors are so stunning that I want the true pigmentation to appear on my eyes. The bottom three are my favorite for everyday use.

Anastasia Dip Brow is one of those products that I have been eyeing for a very long time  but never bought and then surprisingly enough it was gifted to me one day by a dear friend while we were out shopping. I suppose she saw the lust I had for it better than I could feel it for myself. I don't know how I ever lived without this baby. My brows have never appeared so perfect and I swear to you they are waterproof. I wonder if this would make a good eye-liner?

Long, long, long ago I used my very first 100 point perk from Sephora on a sample of this High Impact Clinique mascara, fell in love with it, and never bought the full size. Recently though I was out shopping with a friend and I decided to buy it on a whim. I forgot how much I really enjoyed this product and the dazzling effect it gives my lashes.

These are all of my fall faves and I hope you all enjoyed it! I'm not going to be doing a fall segment because I feel that living in Florida is a bit of Debby downer for fall fashion. I can sit here and show you all my favorite pieces but I doubt that I'll actually be wearing them especially since the weather is SO bipolar here. I rather save my pieces and show them off to you all in OOTD's which I know you wont mind.
I hope you're all enjoying your lazy Sunday's xxx
