"Little Girls With Dreams Become Women With Vision" -My Dream/Vision Board

Hello, Everyone!
It feel like I long time has gone by since I've actually done a lifestyle post that I'm 100% in love with. The reason being that Lifestyle posts are generally the ones in which my true creative senses come out, and I love seeing the finished product play out to be precisely the way I envisioned it in my head.
That being said, I literally dedicated all morning into creating the perfect Dream/Vision board for myself.

I decided to hand write and place everything because I am an extremely visual person and I captivate ideas easier if I do it that way. The board in which I placed everything on was purchased from HomeGoods for about $15.

At the top of my Board I have Proverbs 3:5,6 which states that your should trust in God instead of relying on your own understanding and he will surely make your paths straight.
Right below that I have my subscriber Goals for Youtube, and "No Debt" reminding me to save more and spend less,
A jet setter sticker right next to the places that I want to travel to within the year 2015.

Next to that I wrote down five quotes that are guaranteed to make me feel better on a horrible day.

Below that I have some tips on how to be a successful Blogger that I cut out from a TeenVogue magazine as well as two cutouts. The first saying: "Haters Gonna Hate" because for every 1 person that supports me on this journey there are atleast 10 that dont.
And the Second saying: "I'm not going to be a prisoner in my room" referring to a life of ordinance that most people tend to live when in reality they should be going out there and searching for the next best thing. So, I strategically put a sticker below it that says, "Going Places"

And finally, next to that I have a list of Goals that I wish to accomplish, another list of things that I would like to buy, and a reminder of the three things that I would like to professionally categorize myself under.

I hope this post was useful to you in someway and that you got to gain some inspiration for your 2015!

Colour Pop Cosmetics Haul | NEW Matte Shades! | Elizabeth Martinez

Hello, You beautiful Souls!

Sorry for the delay but I really wanted to wait until I got these to make a post about something I was REALLLYYYY excited about!
So here it is.
Colourpop Cosmetics, a Makeup brand based in LA whose products only cost FIVE DOLLARS. Recently came out with a new line of Matte Shadows. Up until last month The only shadows they carried were shimmers and metallics.
So naturally, when I heard that they were launching mattes I could barely control myself... one thing led to another and before I knew it I got an e-mailed receipt confirming my order.
This order would have come out to be $35 but when you sign up for their newsletter they send you an e-coupon for $5 off! So really it was like getting one for free so whatever you do, don't forget to sign up!!

I got a little scared when I opened the box because it looked like all of the shades were similar but thankfully when swatched they are COMPLETELY different. You'll see.

The formulation is out of this world and trust me your mind will be blown when you first touch them. These are the creamiest matte shadows I have ever played with. Yes, I said Creamy. AND, once the shadows set on your skin they literally don't move!

I have been sweeping my finger up and down the arm where all the swatches are (rather harshly) to see if the colors will budge, but I promise you that they have not.

I'll post a video tomorrow to actually show you but I have to say, I am really impressed.
Dare I say... but, I like these more than Urban Decay. Okay there I said it.

Here are individual pictures!
and Swatches!

Just wanted to mention really quick that I know that the fist swatch does not look very prominent but trust me, I tried to make it as noticeable as possible! You will never understand how much time and effort goes into shooting, and editing everything. So therefor, I apologize. Hope it doesn't stray you away from trying this AMAZING brand. I love supporting American Brands!

Stationary Haul! | Elizabeth Martinez

I'll just say this while I'm ahead... Target's Dollar Spot is my favorite spot. Like it is THE spot to be at. I love digging through the piles of stuff looking for a goodie to take home, but I especially love it when they have cute stationary things that look a bit vintage.

You can only imagine the Self control I had to exercise when I saw all of my favorite things in front of me so I decided to go with the things that I actually knew I would use.

If you don't know so already, My dream is to become an author and to create a stationary line. I think that the OCD part of my brain is wired to want to own one.

With that being said aren't the things that I picked up the absolute cutest?!

I ended up choosing:
- 2 Thin notebooks
- 4 pens
- 8 Mechanical lead pencils
- 2 packs of thank you cards
- 1 Metallic Ink pad that says "With Love"

My favorites being the Thank You cards and the Stamp pad

I love stopping by this spot when I first go into target because I always end up picking up so many fun things for such an inexpensive price!

Lippie Swatches (MAC + BITE + Makeup Forever)

The week of Black Friday was a week of craze for me as I imagine it was for you, also. Needless to say though, that I could not possibly be happier with my purchases. Specifically my new Lippies.

I as always purchased new lip sticks while I was away in the Bahamas because 'Tax Free' means 'Go crazy'.
From Left to Right: Velvet Teddy, Russian Red, Exclusive Event, Styled in Sepia
From Top to Bottom: Styled in Sepia, Exclusive Event, Russian Red, and Velvet Teddy

Velvet Teddy and Russian Red are two colors that I have been lusting after for so long now, and Styled in Sepia was one of those impulse buys that you never counted on but still mean the world to you.
Exclusive Event was a gift from a dear friend who knows me like the back of her hand.

Next up was a lip duo that I got from Sephora from Makeup Forever called "Get Glossy"

Pink Shade is D14 and Nude Shade is D16
These are both super glossy and shiny hints the name of the set, and if applied them over matte lipsticks and the effect it has on them is GORGEOUS.

Finally I roamed into the land of Bite Beauty when I saw that they had a mini trio set at part of their Black Friday deals and they are so so so so beautiful!

From Top to Bottom: Rambutan, Strawberry, Currant

I used Rambutan in a recent Youtube video where I recreated Kim Kardashian's makeup look and it looks absolutely stunning if you guys want to check that out here is the video:

Hope You guys enjoyed these swatches let me know if any of these tickle your fancy!

Design Inspiration for My Future Place | Elizabeth Martinez

First of all, I would just like to start off by apologizing for my lack in posts. I mean 10 days without putting anything on this blog is just absolutely unacceptable but also unintentional. When I returned from my short vacation I had so many ideas for posts and videos and I am still really excited but unfortunately my lens broke and I have been waiting ever since for my new ones to get in from the post. Although purchasing a lens did set me back some, financially I was happy to do so for the love of my hobbies. I should be receiving them any time today or tomorrow!

To keep me entertained while literally being camera-less I have been inspecting the world of interior design. Being that I am turning 20 in nearly a month I decided that I want to keep changing and improving my life. With that comes getting my own place and I could not be happier. I have already made my first trip to Ikea, picked up a few bits to make it all seem real, and then ran home to further take notes inside of my catalog. I feel like I know the direction that I want to go in and I really cannot be happier.

So, today I'm going to show you all the direction in which I want to take my bedroom.
Very minimalistic, modern, yet comforting.

I definitely want to center the color scheme around whites and greys as that makes the space that I would be working with appear to be larger than it really is.

What are your favorite Designs or inspirations?

Bon Voyage Outfit | Elizabeth Martinez

Hello, People!

If you're reading this it means that my scheduled post worked, AND I am somewhere in the Caribbean on my way to Nassau, Bahamas if I'm not there already.

I'm sure I'm having a fabulous time and creating memories to share with my internet friends.

Speaking of, before leaving I was really considering vlogging my trip Nothing too long just a few clips here and there for me to remember. After all, there's no safer place to store something forever than the Internet, Right?

Would You guys be into that?

Anyway, the real reason why I decided to create this post is because I didn't want to mess up my blogging schedule and also because I wanted to show you guys what I wore.

Since I'm not one to be too tacky with the cruise gear I decided to kick back and go with what I would naturally wear. Which is something along the lines of what is shown above.

The shirt I scored at Marshalls for FIVE DOLLARS.
The booties also from Marshalls for $13
The boyfriend jeans from Pacsun for $20
The watch/bracelet from Wet Seal for $13

Hope you are enjoying your weekend as much as me!

Beauty Wishlist | Elizabeth Martinez

Hello, pretty lady!

Do you ever sit an wonder how much money you've spent on "makeup kits" or "makeup pallets" thinking that you're getting a better deal instead of spending that hefty amount on the ONE product you actually really, really want?

I can honestly say that for the longest time I have been committing the exact same mistake.

Just last month I was desperate for a new bronzer and for years I have been saying that when I buy my first high end bronzer it will either be Laguna by Nars or Hoola by Benefit. What did I do, you ask? Oh you know, I bought Too Faced limited edition holiday kit that brought three unnecessary eye shadow palettes, 2 blushes, 2 bronzers, and a mascara. WOW BUT THAT WAS WORTH IT (you're thinking.)

NO. IT WASN'T. The eye shadows are chalky, the blushes are too shimmery, and the bronzers make me look muddy.

Lesson learned.

So in honor of my enlightenment I have dedicated a post to my honest wish list.

What are some products you've been lusting after?

Good Afternoon, December + Motivational Monday: Did I Choose Work or College?

-Goals
-Events
-My Decision

-Goals: So, for the month of December I have a few goals that I really want to focus on, the first one being- Improving my personality. I have a nasty habit of getting upset when I'm feeling really stressed and it's something that I really need to work on. Obviously, this will take longer to accomplish than the month of December but I'm very determined to see some kind of difference within myself. That being said, my goal(s) within that particular goal are:

-Exercising (Specifically yoga because I used to do it regularly and would feel
              fantastic after every workout.)
             -Expressing myself
-Finding things that will distract me
-Eliminate all unnecessary aspects of my life that cause me stress.

-Events: An event that is coming up in just THREE DAYS is my cruise! Yes! I am so incredibly excited to take a mini vacation I feel like I haven't taken a break of some sort in months! It is just a 3 three day cruise to the Bahamas but still, I will be able to spend time with friends and family and that's all that matters to me. Another event that I am possibly even more excited about is the end of my fall semester of college! I have to admit this semester was an absolute drag and I couldn't find myself caring about my classes which leads to the next segment of this post: My Decision.

-My Decision: Did I choose work or college? After months and months of analyzing the pros and cons of both options, I chose to go to work. I am too fascinated with the idea of evolving, to be stuck in a classroom for 4 hours a day when I know for a fact that I could be working a full time 9-5, then go home and work on my passion which is Blogging and Youtube. Surprisingly, I have been absolutely loving filming videos but both things require some kind of investments. Which is another reason why the job is higher up on my list of things I need.

I hope you all have a fantastic month! I have some great posts and videos planned out for us and I can't wait to share!
Comment down below what your plans for December are!

Review: One Direction Limited Edition Makeup Kits + Giveaway!

Hello, Beauties!

The lovely people at BrandBacker and Markwins International sent over some samples for me to Review and I have finally played around with these long enough to be able to deliver an honest review.

One Direction recently expanded into the cosmetics industry with a series of kits and added to the mix were these three shown below which happen to be limited Edition for the season.

Sold at Just $16.50 (each) These kits can be found at Macys, Dillards, Boscov's, Stage Stores, Beauty Brands, and Lord & Taylor as of November 15th!

The Kits Included are:
-Rock Me Nail Kit (3 Nail Varnishes and 3 UV Reactive Glitters)
-Electro Glam Mascara (Blue, Pink, & Yellow)
-LiquidLights Glow Gloss (3 Super Glittery Glosses, UV Reactive: Orange, Pink, light Red)

I absolutely adore the concept behind these Mascaras! Yes, the retro lashes are coming back in style but I loved using these as temporary highlights in my hair. My sisters and friends made a night out of it, by glamming up our hair to our colors of choice. In case you were wondering these look AMAZING even on dark hair, and wash out without any hassle at all!

The Glosses are EXTREMELY glittery which is fine for party season, but if you're like me and prefer mattes, you can still make these work.
Here's My tip:
-Apply a matte color of your choice as the base
-Add a coat of either one of the glosses
-Dab on some Translucent powder to minimize the glitter without taking it off, completely

At first the two pink-Red colors look virtually identical but applied on the lips they are clearly distinguishes.

The coolest part about these is that they glow in the dark, so don't forget to put one in your purse if you know you'll be running into some UV lights!

The Swatches of the nail varnishes shown above all demonstrate what the colors appear to be after 2 coats. Unfortunately, the most exciting color (Blue) was the hardest to work with as it appeared to be streaky, But after a few minutes it dried nicely.

The Pink applied like a dream as well as the Glitter which is surprisingly thicker than I originally thought.

If you're looking for the perfect gift for a fan girl, this is it. Although I do think that this was designed with a younger crowd in mind, I still enjoyed using the Mascara with my girls, the nail varnishes I will most definitely use, and the glosses as I stated earlier, can still be worked with even with the glitter issue.

One Direction and the Markwins team are also having a very generous giveaway so, if you fancy these kits here's your chance to win one for free!

Cozy & Productive Day-In | Elizabeth Martinez

Hi, Beautiful people of the Internet!

I am so happy to have a day off from college today being as it is the day before thanksgiving, they generously gave us an extra day away :)

The weather is sadly a bit gloomy today so the original plan I had for today which was to film a video has been postponed until tomorrow. And THAT means that I have a jam-packed schedule from morning to night as the filming, editing, and uploading process is quite literally a day's work.

Still, I'm super excided to do that because It will be my first fashion video on my channel! If you want to check out my previous videos here is the link : http://youtu.be/MyRkZ5vgxjQ?list=UUZdoA6yTDzLoubt0pTCZTtg

So, Today Instead I'm just getting a few things done around the house, clutter makes me feel a little disoriented. And I am making a few lists of things that I need to do in the upcoming weeks like blogging and video ideas, as well as reading up a few magazines, strolling through my social media, and taking some serious care of my skin.

I really need to learn how to use my camera. I know that sounds really weird but I purchased a DSLR and it still looks like I'm using a point and shoot when I film. Maybe its the lighting. But I'm still using today to better educate myself.

ALSO, I am so excited for Black Friday! Ulta and Sephora are having some pretty great deals and I am really excited to see what Bath and Body works is offering :)

Well, that's all the news for today!

I know that this is just a stopping in kind of post but there's not much I can do with the weather being the way it is :/

I hope you all have an awesome day!

Happiness is A Journey, Not a Destination

Hi, Everyone!

I Hope that whoever you are, you're currently experiencing a lovely day and a heck of a lot better weather than I am!

-Lately I have been thinking a lot about myself (which I haven't been able to do in a long time) and I've been going back and forth on what it means to me, to be happy. Like, what is my raw definition of happiness, or what types of things, people, or activities, genuinely bring me joy.

I know this varies for everyone and I don't want to write up an extremely long post but one of the things that I loved right off the bat about blogging was my ability to just sit down and jot down all of my thoughts. Which brings me to the first thing that makes me happy: Blogging.

I love spending hours planning content, taking photographs, writing word for word descriptions and then hitting that publish button after I am absolutely positive that I am proud to call that work 'mine'. One of the greatest things that have happened to me in these last couple of months is setting up a blogging schedule. As an aspiring writer, this gives me the kind of discipline I need to stay on track.

Another journey that I've recently embarked on is creating regular content on my Youtube Channel. I've been watching videos since I was 13 years old and finally at 19, I decided to upload one of my own. I don't really have high hopes for it just because I know how hard it is to get noticed, but I love creating content and I honestly cannot wait to start playing around more with software, lighting, and ideas. One of my greatest accomplishments is when I picture something in my mind and deliver it just as I saw it through photographs and blog posts, and now through Youtube I will be able to do that more vibrantly.

I've always known that I am not one to work a 'regular' job as everyone else does, but I am considering doing that now in order to invest more into my hobbies which in this case are blogging, youtube, and photography.

As an introvert, I don't really get around much which means that most of my hobbies include things done from the comfort of my own home and we all know how expensive that can be.

One thing that I have most definitely set my mind on is taking a gap in my education. I've taken one before, and I loved going back to college with a new perspective. But, things happen in life that make us lose our sights and I'm finding it imperative that I take another break in order to to re-access my educational goals.

So, now at almost twenty I sit here with My journal, my planner, and my favorite cd debating all of my options for the future.

Will it be UNI? Will it be a 9-5? Will it be backpacking? Will it be finally sitting down and writing my very own book?

I don't know but I am so excited to find out.
